Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of romillywilde.com and any order you place with us. Please read them before you order. By placing an order or creating an account, you confirm that you accept these Terms.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site means you accept the revised Terms. This version was last updated on 1 September 2026.

Questions about these Terms should be sent to hello@romillywilde.com, or to Wilde Beauty Limited, Alexandra House, St Johns Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 2SB, United Kingdom.

Our other policies

These Terms work alongside five other documents. Rather than repeat them here, we link to them. They form part of your contract with us.

If you live in Washington or Nevada, our My Health, My Data page explains how we handle skin and scalp information.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Wilde Beauty Limited ("Wilde Beauty", "Romilly Wilde", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07543855, with its registered office at Alexandra House, St Johns Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 2SB, United Kingdom.

Wilde Beauty LLC is our United States affiliate. It handles payments from our United States retail partners. Your contract for anything bought on this website is with Wilde Beauty Limited.

"Romilly Wilde" and "The Biology of Beauty" are registered trademarks, registered internationally including in the United Kingdom and the United States. All rights are reserved.

2. Where to find information about us and our products

You can find everything you need to know about us and our products on our website before you place an order. If anything is unclear, please email hello@romillywilde.com before ordering.

3. Use of this website

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract to use this website. You may hold no more than one account.

You agree not to use the website:

  • to reproduce, distribute or exploit our content without permission;
  • to engage in unlawful, defamatory, obscene or disruptive activity;
  • to introduce malicious code or harmful data, or to attempt unauthorised access;
  • for any illegal purpose, or in any way that could harm the reputation of Romilly Wilde.

We may suspend or close your account, or withdraw your access to the website, if you breach any part of these Terms.

4. Your order and our contract with you

4.1 How the contract is formed

Your order is an offer to buy our products. We will acknowledge it by email, but that acknowledgement is not acceptance. We accept your order only once we have checked it and dispatched the products. A legally binding contract is formed at that point.

Sometimes we have to reject an order, for example if a product is unexpectedly out of stock, if we cannot ship to your country, or if the product was incorrectly priced. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion. If we do not accept your order, we will tell you as soon as possible and refund anything you have paid.

4.2 What you confirm when you order

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • you are aged 18 or over and legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
  • you are buying for personal use and not for resale, unless we have authorised this in writing; and
  • you are not allergic to, and have not been medically advised against, the use of the products you are ordering. Please read the full ingredient list before you buy.

4.3 Charges and payment

We charge you in full when you order, unless you have chosen a subscription, in which case we take payment at the intervals explained during the order process. Payment is taken by our payment providers, Stripe and PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card details.

The products become yours once we have received payment in full. Responsibility for them passes to you on delivery.

4.4 VAT, duties and taxes

If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date we supply the product, we adjust the VAT you pay, unless you have already paid in full before the change takes effect.

Orders to the United States and Europe are sent Delivered Duty Paid, so import duty and tax are included in the price you pay. For other destinations, local duties and taxes are payable by you. Full detail is in our Delivery Information.

5. Delivery, returns and refunds

Our delivery services, prices and timings are set out in our Delivery Information. Our 28-Day Satisfaction Guarantee, and how returns and refunds work, are set out in Returns and Refunds. Both form part of these Terms.

In summary. United Kingdom delivery is free on every order with no minimum spend. Our 28-Day Satisfaction Guarantee lets you return a product within 28 days of delivery even if you have opened and used it. The guarantee is a voluntary promise we make in addition to your legal rights, and does not replace them.

Read Delivery Information and Returns and Refunds in full.

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, we guarantee that all orders will be delivered within 30 days of the date of purchase, unless we have expressly agreed a different timeframe with you. If you have not received your order within 30 days, please email hello@romillywilde.com. We will, at your choice, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace any products we agree are damaged or defective, or refund what you paid using your original payment method.

Your legal right to change your mind within 14 days of delivery, and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if something is wrong with a product, are explained in Returns and Refunds. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights.

6. Prices, product descriptions and images

Prices, product descriptions and availability may change without notice. A change in price will not affect an order we have already acknowledged.

We work hard to show our products accurately, but a product's true colour may not exactly match what you see on your screen, and packaging may vary slightly from the images shown.

7. Product information and medical disclaimer

Our products are cosmetics. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and nothing on our website should be read as medical advice.

  • Always read the full ingredient list before you buy, and carry out a patch test before first use.
  • If irritation occurs, stop using the product and seek medical advice. Please also tell us, so we can record it. See Returns and Refunds for how we handle reactions.
  • Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a pre-existing condition.

We are not liable for an adverse reaction where the instructions and warnings provided with the product have not been followed.

8. Our skin quiz and personalised recommendations

Our skin quiz suggests products based on the answers you give us. It is a cosmetic recommendation tool, nothing more. It is not a skin assessment, a diagnosis, or a substitute for advice from a doctor, dermatologist or pharmacist, and you should not rely on it as one.

The recommendations are only as accurate as the information you give us, and we cannot know how your skin will respond to a particular formulation. Please still read the ingredient list and patch test.

Completing the quiz is optional. It is not a condition of buying from us, and it does not earn you a discount.

Your skin quiz data. Information you give us about your skin or scalp is health data, and we treat it accordingly. We collect it only with your explicit consent, we do not use it for advertising, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. See our Privacy Policy and, if you live in Washington or Nevada, our My Health, My Data page.

9. Subscriptions

If you choose a subscription, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these Terms. Full detail is in our Purchase Options Cancellation Policy.

  • By selecting a subscription at checkout you are asking us to open a subscription account and agreeing to a rolling contract. We will confirm this by email.
  • Payment is taken on the same date each billing cycle, using the card you registered. For shorter months, it is taken on the same day or the last day of the month.
  • Billing recurs until you or we cancel it.
  • There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
  • We may change the subscription price, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice before any change takes effect.
  • If a payment fails, we will try again. We will email you each time so you can update your card. If the retries are exhausted, we pause your subscription rather than cancelling it, and we will tell you.

9.1 Pausing, skipping and cancelling

You can skip, pause, change or cancel your subscription yourself by signing in to your account, right up to the day before your next order is due. Cancelling takes one step and we will not put anything in your way.

If you would rather we made the change for you, email hello@romillywilde.com at least three working days before your next order is due. That is the time we need to read your message and act on it properly. It is a commitment from us, not a hurdle for you.

Seven days before every subscription order, we email you to say what is coming, when it will be charged and how much it will be.

Pausing stops billing and shipping for that cycle only. Your subscription resumes with the next scheduled order unless you pause again or cancel.

Our 28-Day Satisfaction Guarantee applies to every subscription order in the same way it applies to a one-off purchase.

9.2 Fair use

We may cancel or restrict an account where the pause function is being used abusively. We may also change or withdraw the subscription programme, cancel subscriptions that have been inactive for a long period, or choose not to renew a subscription. We will give notice of any significant change.

10. Promotions, discounts and loyalty

Details of current promotions are published on our website or sent to you before you take part. Each promotion is subject to these Terms and to any additional conditions stated at the time.

  • Unless we say otherwise, promotions cannot be combined with any other promotion, discount or offer.
  • Introductory and welcome offers are limited to one use per customer and apply to one purchase only. We verify eligibility by name, email address and delivery address.
  • Our loyalty and referral programmes are subject to their own programme terms, which we publish alongside the programme.
  • We may withdraw, amend or extend any promotion at our discretion. This will not affect orders already placed.

Using a promotion, discount code or introductory offer fraudulently, including trying to redeem it more than once or setting up multiple accounts for the same person, may result in cancellation of the order, recovery of the full product price, refusal of future promotional offers, and closure of the account.

We may also cancel an order where we reasonably believe products are being bought for unauthorised resale, or where repeated attempts are made to redeem a single-use code across different accounts or addresses.

11. Content you submit

If you send us reviews, photographs or other content, whether through our website, by email or on social media, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and share it in our marketing and communications.

You must only submit content you created yourself or otherwise have the right to use, and it must not infringe anyone else's rights.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory or misleading, or that makes health or medical claims about our products. We may moderate, edit or remove content, but we are not obliged to.

By submitting content, you agree we may use your first name or social media handle to attribute it, unless you ask us not to.

12. Intellectual property and acceptable use

All content, designs, logos, software, trademarks and imagery on this website are the property of Wilde Beauty Limited or our licensors. All rights are reserved.

You may use our website and its content only for your personal, non-commercial use, and in connection with buying our products. You must not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, display, sell, licence or otherwise exploit our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

You must not use our website or its content to act fraudulently or maliciously, to collect or harvest information or data including other people's personal data, or to harass or abuse anyone or transmit offensive material.

You must not remove, alter or obscure any trademark, copyright or other proprietary notice from our products or materials.

13. Events outside our control

If our supply of your order is delayed by an event outside our control, including stock, supply chain or transport problems, epidemic or pandemic, natural disaster, war, civil disorder, strikes, cyber-attack or government restrictions, we will contact you as soon as possible and do what we can to reduce the delay. Provided we do this, we are not liable for the delay.

If the delay is substantial, long-term or indefinite, you can email hello@romillywilde.com to end the contract, and we will refund anything you have paid in advance for products you have not received. We may also end the contract if the delay means we can no longer reasonably supply the products.

14. If we cannot deliver because of missing or incorrect information

If you are not there when your order arrives and you do not rearrange delivery or collect it, we may charge you for storage and redelivery. If we cannot reach you or arrange delivery despite reasonable efforts, we may end the contract.

If the details on your account are wrong, including your name, email address, delivery address or payment details, and you do not tell us, we are not liable if your order does not reach you.

If we end the contract under this clause, we may deduct reasonable compensation for the costs we have incurred.

15. We can change products and these Terms

Changes we can always make. To reflect changes in law or regulatory requirements, including to labels, packaging or safety instructions, and to make minor improvements that do not materially affect how you use the product.

Changes that give you a right to end the contract. For significant changes to a product's features or specification, substantial changes to price or payment terms, changes that materially affect your use or your legal rights, or withdrawal of a product. If we make a change of this kind, we will tell you, and you can email hello@romillywilde.com to end the contract before the change takes effect and receive a refund for anything you have paid for but not received.

16. Suspending or withdrawing products

We may suspend supply of a product to update it for legal or regulatory reasons, or to make the changes described in clause 15. We will tell you in advance unless the problem is urgent. If we suspend supply for more than 30 days, you can end the contract and we will refund anything you have paid in advance for products you will not receive.

We may also stop providing a product or a subscription altogether. We will give you reasonable notice and refund anything paid in advance for products that will not be provided.

17. Ending our contract with you

We can end our contract with you and claim compensation, including reasonable enforcement costs, if:

  • you do not make a payment when it is due, and still do not pay within 14 days of our reminder;
  • you do not, within a reasonable time of us asking, give us information or cooperation we need to supply the product; or
  • you do not, within a reasonable time, allow us to deliver the product to you.

18. Our liability to you

We are not responsible for losses you suffer as a result of us breaking this contract where the loss is:

  • unexpected, meaning it was not obvious it would happen and nothing you told us before we accepted your order meant we should have expected it;
  • caused by a delaying event outside our control, provided we took the steps set out in clause 13; or
  • avoidable, meaning something you could have avoided by taking reasonable action, such as following the instructions and warnings supplied with the product, carrying out a patch test, or stopping use after a reaction.

If you use a product for the purposes of a trade, business, craft or profession, then, except for liability which cannot legally be limited, our total liability to you for all losses under or in connection with any contract between us, whether in contract, tort including negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise, is limited to what you paid for the product. Claims for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill and indirect or consequential loss are excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

19. Privacy and cookies

We take your privacy seriously. How we collect, store and use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which covers the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States and the rest of the world.

Our Cookie Policy explains the cookies we use and how to control them. If you live in Washington or Nevada, our My Health, My Data page explains how we handle consumer health data.

By creating an account or placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to both these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

20. Third-party links, and buying from our stockists

Our website may link to third-party sites. These are provided for convenience only. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

If you buy Romilly Wilde from a retailer, stockist, wholesaler, marketplace or other reseller, your contract of sale is with them, not with us. Any refund, replacement or exchange must be arranged directly with that seller under their own terms, and our 28-Day Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply. This does not affect your legal rights in respect of products bought directly from us.

21. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something has gone wrong, please email hello@romillywilde.com with your order number, the product details and a description of the problem.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to give you a full response within 30 working days. If we need longer to investigate, we will tell you and keep you updated.

If your complaint concerns a possible fault with a product, we may ask you to return it for inspection. Once a product has passed its expiry date or its recommended period after opening, it is not considered to have a reasonable lifespan for the purposes of your legal rights.

This complaints process does not affect your statutory rights.

Alternative dispute resolution. Alternative dispute resolution is an optional process in which an independent body considers a dispute and tries to resolve it without going to court. We are required to tell you it exists, but we are not obliged to take part and may choose not to.

22. Governing law and your local rights

These Terms are governed by English law, and you can bring claims against us in the English courts wherever you live. If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims in the courts of the country you live in. We can bring claims against you in the courts of the country you live in.

If you are a consumer buying from outside the United Kingdom, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection given to you by any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. Where the law of your country gives you rights that go further than these Terms, those rights continue to apply.

23. Other important terms

Transfer by us. We may transfer our contract with you to another organisation. We will tell you if we plan to do this, and if you are unhappy you can email hello@romillywilde.com within 30 days to end the contract. We will refund anything you have paid in advance for products not provided.

Transfer by you. You may transfer your contract with us to someone else only if we agree. We may not agree if, for example, the transfer would change the scope of our obligations or increase our risk. We may require the new owner to provide proof of the transfer.

Third-party rights. No one other than you has rights under this contract, except someone you told us you were giving a product to as a gift.

Severability. If a court decides that part of these Terms is unlawful, the rest continues to apply.

No waiver. If we delay in enforcing these Terms, we can still enforce them later.
