Our Efficacy Testing

We commissioned independent laboratory testing on human skin to measure how our formulations protect against UV-A damage and urban pollution. Here's what the science revealed, visualised through microscopy imagery.

Beneath the Surface

These are photographs of real human skin samples, taken under the microscope in the lab. Nothing has been generated or retouched. We publish them alongside the method, so you can see exactly what we measured.

How to read them:

  • Red shows oxidative damage to the skin’s proteins. Less red means less damage.
  • Yellow shows Collagen I, the protein behind firmness. More yellow means more collagen protected.
  • Turquoise marks the cell nuclei, so you can see the layers of the skin.
  • In each pair, untreated skin is on the left and treated skin on the right.

Peptide Longevity Serum, applied after UV-A stress

CONTROL + UVA STRESS

UVA STRESS + PEPTIDE LONGEVITY SERUM

Carbonylation (red staining)

CONTROL + UVA STRESS

Microscope image showing UV-A stress on untreated skin

BEFORE: Shows the visible effects of UVA stress on the skin’s protein network.

UVA STRESS + PEPTIDE LONGEVITY SERUM

Microscope image showing reduced protein damage after Peptide Longevity Serum

AFTER: Treatment reduced protein damage up to 95%

Collagen I (yellow staining)

CONTROL + UVA STRESS

Microscope image showing collagen I levels before UV-A stress on untreated skin

BEFORE: Collagen levels before UVA stress.

UVA STRESS + PEPTIDE LONGEVITY SERUM

Microscope image showing reduced collagen damage after Peptide Longevity Serum

AFTER: Treatment reduced oxidative damage to collagen I by 91%, helping preserve the skin’s structural protein network.

Tripeptide Antioxidant Day Cream, applied before pollution and UV-A stress

Control + Stress (PM10+UV-A)

Day Cream + PM10 +
UV-A Stress

Carbonylation (red staining)

Control + Stress (PM10+UV-A)

BEFORE: Skin exposed to UV-A and pollution shows increased oxidative protein.

UVA STRESS + PEPTIDE LONGEVITY SERUM

AFTER: 100% efficacy represents restoration of protein levels.

Collagen I (yellow staining)

CONTROL + UVA STRESS

BEFORE: Collagen I damage from UV-A and pollution.

Day Cream + PM10+UV-A Stress

AFTER: Collagen I preservation increased by 64% compared with untreated stressed skin.

Presented at ESDR 2026

In September 2026 we presented our research at the 55th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Dermatological Research in Heidelberg, where dermatologists and skin scientists share new findings. The abstract is published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

The poster sets out the full study, carried out with OxiProteomics on donated human skin. It shows how the Tripeptide Antioxidant Day Cream protected the skin’s proteins before UV-A and pollution stress, and how the Peptide Longevity Serum helped repair them afterwards. The images, methods and results are all there to read.
