Why proteins come first
Most of what happens to the proteome happens out of sight. Environmental stress alters proteins long before any change reaches the mirror. Working with proteomic scientists, we measure how the proteins in human skin samples respond to that stress in the laboratory. The work led to a simple conviction. If skin is made of protein, skincare should speak its language.
Peptides are that language. Mini proteins, in effect.
How peptides work in skincare
A peptide is not one ingredient. It is a field, with thousands of possible sequences, each behaving differently according to its structure and size. Not all of them do the same job. Some are studied as messengers, for their effect on the look of firmness and density. Some act as carriers, delivering the trace elements that skin's own processes depend on.
