Embrace the Journey: Cruising through the Menopause and Perimenopause with Confidence.

As we sometimes clumsily stride into this new chapter of our lives, we're faced with changes that can be both challenging and empowering. Menopause and perimenopause are transformative periods that beckon us to embrace the wisdom and celebrate all that comes with age, all while nurturing our skin, bodies, and spirits. Here are some insights and tips to help you navigate this journey with poise and confidence:

Love and Embrace Your Skin

Treat your skin with tender care and gratitude for the years of service it has provided. Hydration is key! Moisturise regularly to maintain a youthful glow and suppleness. Consider consulting a dermatologist for a personalised skincare routine to address changing needs.

We can recommend our Night Duty Face Cream for advanced overnight hydration, helping support skin renewal and bolster collagen production.

Empower Yourself Through Knowledge:

Educate yourself about menopause and perimenopause. Understanding the changes happening within your body helps you make informed decisions about your health and lifestyle. Knowledge is empowering and leads to a sense of control during this time.

Susie recently visited a hormone specialist Dr Sarah Glynn. After years of bio-identical hormones, she decided to go for body-identical support that has given her a new lease of life, that has helped her confidence and balance this rocky journey that she has faced, especially with confidence, anxiety and general focus. This is hard when she is the head of such a dynamic business. Her advice “seek help if you feel you are struggling, there is help. Ask questions and you will get knowledge. Don't listen to scare mongers, the facts are in the science.”

Prioritise a Healthy Diet:

Opt for a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Incorporate foods rich in calcium and vitamin D to support bone health. You may also want to consider reducing your intake of caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods, as they can exacerbate menopausal symptoms.

Stay Active and Fit:

Regular exercise not only maintains a healthy weight but also boosts mood, improves sleep, and alleviates menopausal symptoms. Choose the things you enjoy – for me it's yoga but swimming, dancing, or walking are all wonderfully gentle options. Find a routine that suits you.

Mindfulness and Stress Management:

Incorporate mindfulness practices such as meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to manage stress and promote emotional well-being. A calm mind contributes to a more balanced transition through menopause and perimenopause.

Celebrate the New You:

Simply accept this phase of life as an opportunity for new confidence, growth, self-discovery, and reinvention. Celebrate your achievements, passions, and the wisdom that comes with age. Remember, you are beautiful and capable of navigating this journey with a wink and shake those tail feathers. Open your eyes to see the beauty of every moment and let your light shine through this transformative journey.

With love,
Susie
